Default Computer Usage !

All of us like our computers. Some of us have written temporary goodbyes due to the addicting nature of the beast!

I myself just disappeared for a week or so thinking I'd not be on the computer much, if I only played games. LOL I found myself spending MORE time on the computer!!!

What I want to know is - how much time are we REALLY spending on the computer???

AND how many groups you regularly check into.....

Check all that apply!

A good portion of my time on the computer is spent working so I do have more hours. This entails the research that I need to do, checking e-mails, downloading and uploading of files, etc.

Play time can vary depending on the day and what I have going on.

What can I say. The computer is the biggest part of my life now. Yes I'm the one who admilled to 7 to 9 hrs on computer..

I turn on the computer upon rising, when ever that is, and usually stay on until nap time. Then, at least 4 hrs in the evening. Used to be more, but I go to bed a little earlier now...about midnight..LOL

And to think, I didn't even have a computer until I was 61/62. When DH passed away, I was 63 and this, became my home. I spend most of my time right here at NT.

I do go play Word Whomp at Pogo and work some downloaded jig saw puzzels, and do all my shopping online.....and of course check my e-mail ( I have bunches of e-mail buds.

Anyone else as addicted as I am? Come on, admit it..

How many hours are there in a day? Because I think I need more time on the computer.

I spend a lot of time on the computer reading fan fiction, and checking the forums that I go to. I read this forum and I'm on about 3 or 4 other forums that are crochet and knitting related.

I'm also always searching for new crochet or knitting patterns, so if I'm not on a forum chatting with someone, I'm probably googling for a crochet pattern.

Tricky question. A lot of the time I am "at" but not "on" the computer. My desk is by the window, and I more or less park here off and on during the day. The computer might be running, but I'm not necessarily using it!

I am serious about checking my email. Unless something hinders me, I check it at least in the morning and evening, and usually once in the middle of the day. I don't like to miss anything.

In the morning I check the weather, the local news site, Google news, my granddaughter's facebook page, my two daily comics (Pickles and Dilbert), "Dead or Alive" to see whose birthday it is, ebay (if I've got something coming or going), NT, MSWorld, and two religious groups.

On work days, I'm probably "on" for a half hour in the morning, maybe an hour at night. Week-end or "off" days, maybe twice that.

Probably add a few hours a week for when I'm shopping, researching something, or working offline (such as writing, doing the church bulletin, letters, etc.)

I don't think I'm addicted, but I surely would hate to be without it! Especially on days when I don't feel well and want to connect with empathetic people, such as yourselves.

I had to answer 10 or more hours on the computer, but 8 of those are at work! Sometimes I am on in the evening for an hour or two, it just depends on how rough a day I've had at work and if I need to take a nap like I did last night! LOL

On the weekends, I'm probably on about 10-12 hours a day, mostly my game on those days because I need to do something fun to unwind!

I included my normal four hours at work where I'm on a puter the whole time.

LOL, being married to a computer guy I am definitely surrounded. With the weather warming up, I'll probably be on less and less.
