I have a fiberglass shower/tub. I really think a man designed fiberglass showers and tubs. No woman in her right mind would design a shower/tub with lots of groves that creates more work while cleaning. It also is that fake tile look so there is the grove between the tiles. We have hard water here and the stains are hard to remove.

I went to the dollar store to get some cleaning stuff and saw a dish scrubber that you put soap in. I bought it to use for cleaning the bathroom as the tub exhausted me. Oh, man, it was so much easier to use to clean with. I saved time and energy by using it.

New rule in my house - I am leaving it in the shower and everyone has to use it after they shower. It will save me so much time and energy.

buy a squeegy. in just a second most of the water will be wiped away. i trained hubby and the kids.

also if you use that clear shower spray...the type you are supposed to just spray and leave...but spray it on micro fiber cloth and give a light wipe down after each shower..it will stay sparking. awesome for the glass doors.

I never thought of trying a squeegy as it's that fake tile. That's a good idea. I'll have to back to the dollar store and get one.

This sounds really weird but it also works. You can take car polish and polish the fiberglass once you are done cleaning it. It helps with the hard water stains. Once I am fully recuped from this flare, I will be doing that again.

Used the shower spray last year and it made the bottom of my tub really slippery-- ended up falling and screwing up my knee. My new solution -- I have someone come in clean for two times a month.

yep barb, that stuff just sprayed, same with the scrubbing bubbles automatic sprayer...very slick and dangerous. but since i had stuff leftover, i thought i'd see if it worked with a light rub down. yup. plus i LOVE micro fiber cloths.

boy howdy would i love to have someone clean. but since i'm a clean freak, i'd probably clean first.

I had a girl come clean once a week. Well, one week she didn't come so I did it my self. Took me 4 hours but I did it. (I clean a little, rest a little, clean a little, rest a little). Anyhow, I got to washing the bathroom and realized she really wasn't do a good job and I don't think she was washing the floor as the water was really dirty. So that was the end of that.

DDs used their money to pay for her as they were not helping to get things done. It was a valuable lesson for them.

Curious - I'm a clean freak too! DDs hate that trait in me. LOL. In fact, DD17 finished her school work and wanted to stop by her friends on her way to work. I told her no, she had to spend 15 minutes straightening her room. She was not happy with that.

We have lots of out of town guests coming through out the next week so I'm trying to get it all done.

EDIT: Barb, how scary! I have too many balance issues and they always seem worse in the shower. To add something that makes the bottom of the shower slippery would definitely be an accident waiting to happen.

Curious - I love microfiber too. It picks up so much more.

That's too funny because I bought 2 of them last week for the same thing. I haven't used it yet tho.

What I liked about it was that it was easier for me to handle with my hands, I didn't have to hold a sponge or rag and the cleaning stuff as I don't always have the best coordination, and it was easier on me physically while dealing with the hug. It also got in the little grooves and corners.

I also tried it around the toilet where a mop doesn't get. It worked great and I did have to be on my hands and knees which is difficult for me right now.
