It's certainly something that we seem to dabble with a lot in election seasons, Vic. We have to remember that universal healthcare is tantamount to the first step toward socialism.
I'm sure that the S&L industry has plenty of actuaries hammering out the stats for them, and fundamentally, I agree with their theory (for their own benefit). One graph of unknown origin, created by one subjective source is definitely not enough to convince me of anything! But, I'll admit that the thought has also crossed my mind. Having known some Canadians who have been severely neglected by their system has seriously opened my eyes to a lot of the underlying issues involved in their system.
