My own Dad served in the Australian Army, and most of you would know that the Australians were allies of the Americans during each of the wars.
I remember my own deceased father on days like this.

I for one DO remember that many soldiers from other countries sacrificed their lives along with our own soldiers during more than one war, and they continue to support the USA and other countries when something happens in this world. Bless your father and my father and all the other fathers and mothers, sons and daughters who have given their all, and who continue to do so.

My Uncle Arlo remembers them raising the American flag at Iwo Jima. He also remembers having to jump into a foxhole to avoid enemy fire -- turned out it had been where the latrine was.
My SIL spent a year in Iraq with the Nat'l Guard. My Mom and Dad spent the WWII years welding ships in Oregon. Mom was a little proud of the dime-sized scar on the top of her foot: some hot slag had found its way down her boot. It makes my heart swell to see all the flags waving in the wind at the cemetery and along the streets. So thankful for all those who have fought for our freedom through the years. They worked so hard so we could have it so easy. God bless them all.

My dear Father was a Navy WWII Vet and his ship was sunk, and they floated in shark infested water for 8 hrs until rescued. His Best friend was killed in the blast. I don't think he ever got over that.
I still have the news article on it that my G'ma gave me. I have 3 brothers that served. One brother - 24 yrs Marines, another Bro - 20 yrs Army, and other Bro -4 yrs Army. My Dad always said the prettiest thing in the world was our Flag. Thank you to all our Veteren's Past, Present and future. Hope you all had a good day!
