Default Wow, what last 2+ weeks

Some of you followed my thread on my granddaughter, Joslyn, her surgery and slow recovery.

I am happy to announce that she is peeing on her own since Tuesday evening and is being treated for UTI so we are 99% sure she is back to normal except for the spoiling we did for the last 2 1/2 weeks, now we have to gradually get back to "normal" behavior for a 2 1/2 year old who definitely has a mind of her own.

As I was leaving her house on Wednesday I got a call that my mother was being taken by ambulance to the hospital, possible heart attack. After waiting two days for a heart cath she had one today. No heart attack, no stent and no open heart surgery. Every one of her arteries are diseased but with only 20-30% blockage and they only do stents or surgery if 70+%. She has COPD, diabetes, smokes and overweight. She is 76 and doctor said to just let her live her life as she wishes, no one is going to change her and she might as well be happy with the time she has left, which according to him could end tomorrow or she could have many more years. That's life for all of us too.

We also got the news that my SIL is in hospital because of trouble walking and MRI showed 2 masses between her shoulder blades and also lesions in her upper spine. They are suggesting cancer, MS or both. They will do surgery to remove the masses tomorrow so we will know more after that.

And then in the scheme of things my dryer went kaput today. Husband looked it over, couldn't be fixed, out to the curb, someone picked it up probably for scrap. LOL, but husband and I forgot to take clothes out of there, thankfully there wasn't much in there.

That was just a bump in the road, my SIL is now my main concern. Please keep her in your prayers.

Sassy,

I am sorry to hear about all the stuff you're going through right now. Your SIL is in my thoughts and prayers. I am terrified to know what my mom's lungs and heart must look like. She is turning 60 on 6/1..and she has been smoking since she was 9.

But.. my mom is portuguese and stubborn and she's going to do what she wants.. gosh, I'm just like her Aww.. I'm happy your granddaughter is almost back to normal and being properly spoiled! I know I'm going to spoil all/any grandbabies I have.. but since my oldest is only 9, I have some time before that! You've been through a lot and I hope things turns around for your family and they are all healthy and safe very soon!

Wow, Sassy, when it rains it pours. But I'm glad there were some positives in the mix - little Joslyn is getting better. So happy about that!

Your SIL and your Mom are both in my prayers. Keep us posted on how everyone is doing.....including you.

Glad to hear that Josyln is doing well!

Your Mom sounds just like mine!!! Same stuff going on. My mom just turned 91 last week and the doc is saying the same thing, could be tomorrow, could be 2 months. She's having a lot of problems breathing right now.

Praying for your SIL.

Sassy....

I'm praying for all your family, but most of all, I am praying for some peace in your life, for you.

I just can't understand all this!!

Haven't received any update on my SIL, I hope to soon.

But...last night was bringing Joslyn home for the night after she was flower girl at a wedding and my car broke down on a freeway exit. TG for cell phones, husband rescued us and car still sits there waiting for wrecker tomorrow to pick it up and access the problem. $$$

Then, this morning, my husband and I took Joslyn back to her mom and our brake line on the truck developed a leak. He was able to push the pedal down so it worked good enough until we got home. I don't think I would have had the strength to do that. $$$

Someone want to lend me some money? And some better luck??

On a happier note, here's a pic of Joslyn right after she stole the bridesmaid's bouquet and handed the bridesmaid her basket and told her that was hers. Don't be taken in by the sweet innocent look of this 2 yr old. LOL
