Default my dental woes

Hi

Im a horrible dental patient!!! Very bad expieriences!!! I have had teeth pulled, root canals, etc. For a long time I never got the novacaine.

I have a broken/cracked molar up top. The dentist group I had gone to messed up my bill so badly I ended up owing big time (different work). the staff can be rude but generally the docs are nice. Their opinion was to crown the tooth. But I was able to get them to fill the whole with something temporary.

From there I went to a local dentist. The staff assured me that they checked my insurance and they were on the plan. But ofcourse after work was completed I ended up finding out they were not. When they first looked at the cracked tooth I was told to crown it but may need a root canal. But ofcourse they wouldnt know until after the new crown is in place. I told them fine, pull it. The doctor referred me to a surgeon. After revisiting this dentist for another problem...he said he wouldnt allow me to get it pulled? And that he would start the crown. He supposedly preps the tooth and stops to say i need to go to a specialist. Why????? To see if I have TMJ. ??? I DO HAVE TMJ AND MS AND GET WEIRD PAIN IN MY MOUTH AND ALL OVER AND MY TEETH ARE SENSITIVE AND I GRIND MY TEETH !!!!! Just finish the job. Nope...wont do it. I will sign a release.....just do it!!!! Nope

The dental specialists he reccommends dont take insurance and the exam is big bucks!!!!!

Welcome to my dental life. Is there any wonder why i hate the dentists!!!!!!!

PS Friday nite and I now have a loose crown.

So sorry, MM for your dental woes. I'm glad you got it out...that helps a lot.

I don't have good advise, other than have them all pulled..

I hope things get better for you, soon..

I have teeth problems and went to the UGA dentists... they wanted like 3K..and about 2K of that is for ONE tooth... Oh.. *Bleep* that! So.. I am just going to let them fall out *lol* as long as they aren't in the front. That is my back molar I think and it's 1/2 gone now. Plus, I moved to GA.. just so I wouldn't have to worry about teeth anymore.. J/K, don't want to rile the GA natives!

I dont have dental insurance, and I need to replace all my fillings in my teeth (amalgam, which is cracking my teeth to bits, not to mention scaring the crap out of me because there's mercury in them there amalams)

I had the first 3 teeth fixed in March. Expensive job. Think it was about $1300 just for those three teeth. I have NINE MORE teeth to go! (doing them in bunches of three)

I have no money, but my dad is a nice guy and is paying for my teeth to get fixed because he wants to make sure my mouth is generally healthy. (doesnt want my teeth to cause me any health problems...which I'm sure they are already)

I go for a teeth cleaning next week. I'm going to have her check a couple of teeth for an infection, because I'm thinking that's what's causing my vertigo now. (got checked for an ear infection today...nothing there)

My big problem is that I really really really hate dentists. I've had 3 dentists in my life, and the first two were not very nice. First dentist I had tied me down to the chair (when I was 4 or 5) so he could fill cavities in my mouth.

Second dentist was fairly competent, but he was a jerk.

My most recent dentist (as of last december) is a woman, and she's really nice. She's got the fancy equipment. All sorts of neat computerized stuff. Digital x-rays. So, I dont quite have the fear of dentists that I used to have.

I just wish I had dental insurance, because she's freaking expensive.
