Default Sending PMs now

I don't know how to sent PM's any more, to those that haven't sent me one before.

I wanted to send Curious a PM to ask her to fix a link that's gone wrong on one of my prior sticky postings, but when I clicked on her name, I couldn't see the option to send a PM or email. Fortunately I found a prior PM in my in-box, so I just responded to that and changed the subject, etc.

I checked on a few other people because I wondered if maybe she just didn't have the PM option, being a moderator and all. I just picked the first names that were on a current thread, and I still couldn't see how I could PM those people.

What am I missing?

Thanks, Cherie

PS: I admit that I can be somewhat technically challenged.

When I click on your name, the second option is to send a private message to you. So, I am not sure what is wrong with those people....lol

Hey lady, I just went to PMs and went to "new message", started typing a name in and got a pull-down of some of those that started with lady.

You just need to know the correct spelling of who you want to send it to.

Does that help?

Cherie, you might check your profile options, there may be a PM option askew.

Also, I just type the first letter in the "to:" box and the choices of members magically start appearing!

I just picked on the first few people I ran across, that had posted recently.

For example, at the time, Tkirk was the last "poster" to the "New Addition to our Family" thread, so her name appeared (with the time of the posting). I clicked on that to get to her profile, in an attempt to see if it was different from Curious' (since she is a moderator).

This is what pops up:

Is this the way everyone else see's it, and if so, what do I press to send a PM (if I wanted to . . . but I don't? )

Cherie

Yep, that worked!

Didn't it used to just take you to a place where you could "send an email", "send a private message", etc? I've never used "contact info" before.

Thanks!!

Cherie

OMG!!! I started reading this thread and holy moly there's my profile. LOL. Too funny.

I pm in a couple of ways. I either do what Roseblue suggested or what Sassy and AMN suggested. I did use the old "buddy list" for those that I pm regularly to.
