BTW - She is a really good kid. She doesn't get in trouble, no drugs or drinking (has actually left several parties as she doesn't want to be around that). She calls when she gets off of work, calls if she's going to be late.

School was a huge challenge for her not only due to the CFS, GERD, and depression issues but also because she is extremely intelligent and seriously, she was bored out of her mind. She passed the state exams and was only a few points away from getting a tuition waiver. In AZ if you exceed the standards on the test, you get a tuition waiver to any of the 3 universities.

She will be much happier in college as she learns and grows and find that direction she needs to take to fulfill her dreams and goals.

Tricia, sorry I'm late reading this thread.

I'm glad you told her that your board buddies are all cheering for her to succeed.

You are a good Mom to make sure she goes to college while living under your roof. I promise she'll thank you one day.

Can't wait to meet you guys!

Thanks Moose. The finding herself will be the tough part for her. I always tell her to follow both her heart and her head. It's about balance.

Trish I like your "rule" about having to go to college while living under your roof, or move out. I am going to have to remember that in 6 years when DS is off to college. Although at this rate he will be lucky to make the 7th grade.

I too am sending prayers for her. I wish her well in whatever she decides to do. She will find herself. You are a good momma!

Thanks! I'll say some prayers for your DS too! It sounds as though he is having a rough time as well.

Trish sending out my prayers for you and your daughter.

Tough love is harder on the one that has to do it then the person
who needs it.
You are a great mom. In the future your daughter is going to
thank you for being the mother that you are.
