Default Happy Father's day!!!!

I wish all Fathers a good day. Of course it's almost over for most of you. I had a wonderful father who died in '98. So today I honored my Mom in picking the right guy!!!!! Everybody thought I was cheesy. But God gave me a wonderful Dad!!!!

I was really suprised. My brother in law that can be a little strict on how he allows his emotions to come out did all the planning with his son. They grilled out, baked the potatos, fixed the salad, set the table and served us. Then they cleaned up the kitchen! I was talking to my daughter who lives out of town about it on the phone. She said that's what their sermon was all about today. about a father serving his family and that can be a wonderful way to celebrate Father's day. My part was to bring a desert. Sam's carrot cake is my favorite. Costs about $16.00 but worth it!

My Dad died in 2001 - so Father's Day is now a little difficult for me. We always had a big "shindig" when I was growing up on Father's Day. He loved to grill out so we always did that. I miss that so much.

Your get together sounded wonderful - I'm glad your BIL took the lead and planned the whole thing. I'm sure your Dad was there in spirit and knows how much he was loved.

BTW - I love carrot cake!!
