Default Where do they FIND these people??

You know, I like Dr. Phil okay, and I pretty much agree with what he says. But what possesses people, anyway?

Somebody is sitting there in his living room and gets to thinking, "Well now. I stole my grandmother's life savings while she was dying in a nursing home, and spent it flying to Guam so I could marry an underage poodle I met on the internet. I guess I'll go on national television and tell everybody what a loser I am."

I think shows like Dr. Phil prey on people like that. That guy will put anyone on the air as long as they've done something incredibly stupid that is occasionally illegal or at least immoral.

I cant watch shows like that, because it makes me sad to see how stupid some people can be, and even more sad to realize how many of them are out there! Plus, the shows really are not that entertaining.

I'm sure occasionally they'll have a decent group of people on the show and that the show will be informative and educational, it's that the times they get the weirdos to come on that keep me away from shows like that.

With Jerry Springer, Jenny, Montel, Sally and all the rest of them doing these kind of shows a few years back, I used to think all Americans were like that.

Thank goodness I met y'all.

I guess I need to take a day off and watch daytime tv...

I get home early enough that I can catch the tail end of Oprah before the news starts. That's bad enough. How much do they pay those people to be absolute wierdos in front of the camera?????

My wife does go out of her way to watch Judge Judy when we're on vacation. That can be entertaining.

Don't tell the wife of that guy in Austria that she can come over to the states and probably make millions on the talk show circuit talking about her hubby and daughter thing...

I don't know where they find those people....but how do entire families go on a show like Dr. Phil and air their dirty laundry??? Do they get paid for doing this?? How do they face their friends and other family members afterwards?

Personally, I don't like Dr. Phil. I think he's a little too impressed with himself. Every now and then when I'm flipping through channels I'll stop and watch if it's interesting (or strange) enough.

It's kinda scary that there are people like that out there roaming freely......

Left overs that Maury didn't choose to be on his show? LOL.

Actually, I always believed that many of these people were actor wanna be's.
