Default Enjoying the summer

Will miss my kids when they grow up and move away. DD18 had her second backyard pool party with friends within a week. Took DS17 for his senior pictures today.

Enjoy having my kids around. They'll soon be grown and gone. I'd better enjoy this summer while it lasts. DD leaves for the Gult Coast in November to volunteer for 8-9 months to help rebuild homes that have been affected by the hurricanes. Then, off to college, out-of-state for 4 years.

I think DS will stay closer to home when he graduates.

Enjoy them while you have them around! Sounds like you have some good kids (who have good parents)

Yup; they're good kids. DD's friends stuck around until about 1:00 am, and watched a movie. Good to know where they are, and that they're not in trouble. She has a good group of friends.

Couldn't get DS to smile for senior pictures, but maybe that's a boy thing. Some were taken with his motorcycle (dirt bike), and some with his Robotics medals.

'Tis good to slow down and take time with the kids. Enjoy it - take lots of pics and make memories.
