Our show is in a few weeks, but it's almost impossible to get on base before the show starts. I've tried  Glad you enjoyed the day!!

Thanks.... I hope I didn't come across as Hey, I got to see the Blue Angels. I just wanted to say Hey, I saw the BA's and they were so awesome AND, I felt to good to be out and about. I almost didn't go, but sure am glad I did.

I just got out paper out to see who it was that is coming to our Freedom Festival. We have the Army Golden Knights. Last year we had a presicion team from Canada. We have had the Blue angels and they are wonderful. I'm still not going to pay the $15 to see them on the waterfront when I can see them practicing all over the city. But they do have a parachute team that I would hope I can't see where I live.

Sorry it was at your expense dear Princess, but you do know that it has to be a pretty big giggle to make me an unfaithful follower for even a few moments. It won't happen again, well it might but not right now....unless of course something funny happens again! :D |
Doydie~ The Army Golden Knights were there also. I had forgotten their name,so when I read your post to DH, he said YUp, that was the name of one of the attractions at the air show. They were fantastic.
Oh and Anne??? Do not encourage AMN; she can be quite abusive all on her own. CAIN'T believe AMN is corrupting our dear sweet Koala. |

I used to work at Moffett Field and regularly worked the "noise complaint" desk for the Blue Angels' air shows....I worked for Naval Weather Service at Moffett and I came within inches of getting a ride in the back seat of the PR plane (when they were flying A-4s). They didn't ask if I was military or civilian and, of course, I didn't volunteer. When I was getting geared up to go, the Master Chief politely (not) told the pilot "not on my watch" are you taking a civilian up in that plane. Rats...there went my chance to get a ride in an A-4. BBQ sauce...I could have used some then. He was one of the Master Chief's I worked with so not much I could do about it...:( I have seen them perform many, many times, have several autographed photos of them hanging in my office, and have flown civilian with a few of them. My husband flew with them but not as a Blue Angel. He has flown the F-18, it's a great airplane. :D |

Since my husband spent 20 years in the Navy, I am partial to the Navy Blue Angels and can spit out stats about the Blue Angel team from the when they first began, tell you about Fat Albert and the JATO show that that aircraft puts on - it's amazing what a C-130 can do with a Jet assisted take off! Fat Albert is an all Marine Corps crew, btw, not US Navy. http://blueangels.com/fatalbertairlines.shtml Glad you enjoyed the show DM! The wingwalker team has been around awhile and Tony Kazian is a pro! Tim Weber, the guy that flew the Extra 300, (that was the GEICO airplane) one of the aerobatic performers, is someone I've known for a while. The T-6 Team has a couple of pilot's I've known from Reno Air Races. That's my favorite airplane. Someday I would love to own one. I've flown it many times, but I would love to own one! My dream airplane! I miss going to airshows...we just don't have them here...:( |
