Then we headed off for Newport on what ended up being a scavenger hunt for Taffy! Thank goodness for a reliable Navigator cuz FG can find things from the air but she is no good at driving! How many u-turns?

After lunch we stopped at the local liquor store for some shopping...Da Monkey didn't want to leave!

Taffy came complete with gifts, FG brought the Cabana Boy. But before we had dinner, we went to the beach.

On our way down to the beach we found this great sock which came in handy later for the yappy Da Monkey...yappy yappy yappy...duct tape and the sock! Thank you very much!!

After dinner it was time for liquorama!!! It got a little out of hand...guess Da Monkey got a little out of hand, good thing we found the duct tape and rope!

This morning we went to breakfast, the Princess in public with Da Monkey!

Then it was time to take Cabana Boy back to the Airport and say goodbye....

He is a friend of mine from San Diego. I've known him for about 17 years from the Reno Air Races. He is currently flying his airplane up the coast from San Diego to Alaska. He just happened to be in the area same time we were. So we kidnapped him and held him captive for 24 hours. He cooked us dinner in exchange for a shower and a place to sleep. Not sure who got the better end of the deal, him or us!!!

He took off this morning after breakfast headed for Manzanita Beach.

I have a lot more pictures of the Rose Garden and the Kite Festival. Shelley took some awesome pictures!

Thank YOU Twiffy for the really cool gifts!

In case you can see what we got...she brought ME a bubble GUN! It is the coolest thing I have ever seen! And of course, my favorite, Chehalis Mints (made in Centralia).

And she gave Shappy her very own Tiara....and Chehalis Mints!

We had so much fun playing with our stuff! Twiffy is the bestest!

Great pictures! It looks like you all had so much fun, even Curious George.

Phew! So glad it was not a sock monkey. Besides Curious George does have a cuter butt. Sock monkey's have froggy, old man butts. LOL
