As I was drinking my coffee this morning, I came across an article saying coffee was good for us. LOL!
I don't agree with it 100% since I've been a coffee drinker for years before my diagnoses. It's one of those funny things about coffee that they can't decide if it's a bad thing or a good thing. Well, until my neuro says "no", I'm going to keep my cup of java with me. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080701...wwovOZFfSs0NUE

Hear Here, Finlady!
Remember eggs? First they were good, then they were bad, then the whites were good for you... Make up your mind. I wanna eat! Just like the goverment issued Food Pyramid from way back. Real heavy on the grains and fibers. Then carbs are bad for you... Mid 90's. Remember SnackWells? Zero fat. But they jacked the sugar way up so thet would taste tolerable. Not you may not weigh so much, but you're a diabetic. Vegetable oils aren't as good for you when they have a train fat, trans fat... WHATEVER! I gotta feed me and my sons! Make me so mad sometimes. PC my big ol' butt.

I wish this were true. If so, at one time there was coffee in my veins, then I shouldn't have gotten MS. I did cut back to one cup per day at one time, it was a 32 oz. cup!

if you really love coffee, you should get fresh roasted BEANS, and grind them up yourself... it only takes a moment or two, and the *taste* is so much better! and even better, if you can find a nice dark roast, Arabica beans, organic, and maybe even "fair trade" into the bargain, lol !! oh, yummy yummy, yum yum !!

Thanks, Fin, that just confirms what I've said all along, "coffee is good for ME!" Even if next week they make it illegal, coffee will remain my fifth food group.

When they came out and said margarine was good, did my mom care!
NO! So I bought butter like her. DH and I felt so righteous when they said margerine "BAD". My diet - everything in moderation, the longer the ingredient list, the more to avoid it. If you can't say it, don't eat it.

I love my coffee and I'm not giving it up. I think everything has it's benefits and drawbacks. If I drank 128 ounces of coffee every day then, yeah, it might have an adverse effect on me. But I only have one - maybe two - cups a day.
