You never did call me back the other night..you left me hanging...worried....bad Greta!!! :(

Sorry, the phone subsequently died. Then I had to put Lukie to sleep that night when I got home so I haven't been very sociable this week. :(

WOW! How exciting Greta! I hope it works out for you with the baby and the house! Are you moving to make room for the baby or to another city?

Aw, nuts, Gret, that's too bad. You did a lot for him and you definitely gave him a new life.

Now you're on the threshold of what will seem like a new life in Italy, dump the house and go have a ball! I'm hoping for you guys and the little bun to be.

Oh, and I blame you for having that stupid song stuck in my head:

"And so it begins-a
Needles and pins-a.."

I knew something happened to Lukie when you didn't call me back. I told Laurel that I had this gut feeling and didn't want to call you b/c I knew you were dealing with Luke...

Greta, I am sorry...

He's happier now and not in any more pain.:hug::hug:

I know he's in a much bette place...rainbow bridge and all, but it still sucketh.

We countered tonight - I know they'll accept our terms. They are dying for our house. They've been here 3x. the 3rd visit occurred 15 minutes after the 2nd visit. I think they've already arranged their furniture. Not exactly what we wanted, but it's close enough. Trying hard not to be greedy.

On the adoption front, definitely trying hard to be patient. We didn't get her file tonight, but on the other hand, it doesn't show that she's been accepted by the other family on my agency's website. Someone needs to give me strength.

Particularly for this weekend!! I have to spend all weekend creating 4 piles: 1 for everything I need for the next 3 months (only 2 suitcases worth), everything to go in storage, everything for the first shipment, and then everything for the 2nd shipment. I'm so not looking forward to this weekend of sorting. Maybe I'll get to take the kayak out on Sunday to relax for a bit.

Try another country!! We're moving to Italy. It's a job transfer. We're not expecting a referral for our adoption for 5-7 years, but this child is from the special needs program so it's a different track and could be much sooner. Ack!

good luck greta on your move, and may you have the strength to persevere(sp?) the adoption issues:hug:

I remember getting ready for our overseas duty station. We had only been married 2 years and I had no clue what was going on so at least you've got some experience behind you. And we were going to a remote duty station. I don't envy you at all! We couldn't take any furniture with us...just clothing and limited personal items.

Have fun!

Greta - I am very sorry to hear about Luke. I know how much he meant to you and DH. I know he will live forever in your hearts and memories.
