Default Parents home...BNO.. and Insomnia

Ok, so for all my friends here at NT, you know my parents are snow-birds and live in AZ in the winter and Door County WI May-Oct. Well they came home last night and we got together for dinner. When they left I had a dog and wife, and now I live alone so it was GREAT seeing them. I am VERY close to them an we had a lot to discuss. I am so glad they are home and I get my family back. Someday I will post pictures.

BNO- Boy's Night Out is a program that was started two years ago by a man with MS in Phoenix who decided we need a program where just us guy's with MS or with an association with this disease can get together for "guy time'. no women, no kids, just guy's. Wet meet once quarter and normally it is a really nice dinner and normally a speaker from the neuro institute, or some doctor know it all, or something. then we hang out and talk. The program is quite successful as we normally get about 65 guys attending. Each October we rent a HUGE houseboat and go out on a local lake for a day of fishing, swimming, canoeing and the sort. Saturday (today?) is the day of the boat trip, I can't wait. we meet up at 8 and are on the boat from 10-4. The society pays for our events and in July (the last meeting) the national Chairman of NMSS was our speaker. he was here because they want to take BNO national. So check with your local chapter to see where they are in the planning stage. It is a GREAT escape and time away. Oh, by the way, shortly after we started having BNO the ladies got jealous and formed BNA (Boy's not allowed) which they hoped would meet quarterly also, it is slower taking off but is and should be spreading to your area too, check with your local chapter.

So, I am up at 4:23am. I have been up for about an hour. Maybe part of it is excitement of BNO, maybe it's the tinitis woke me up, who knows, but I tried to go back to sleep and couldn't. So I am gong to pack my sunscreen, get ready to head out in a few hours and have a good day, won't that be a change.

BNO pic's to come soon.

It's 630am here, and I have only slept maybe 20 minutes.

My dad just left to take my mom to the emergency room. She's been having something weird going on this week with her neck/face swelling, and occasionally her throat closing up. This is the 3rd time it's happened in less than a week. (started happening last sunday, then again thursday, and again a few hours ago)

So, sleep is pretty much not happening here. I dont think either of my parents have slept at all yet. Well, my dad probably got some, but my mom was so noisy that I think that's why I havent slept yet. (of course, my staying up till 430am playing Smoothie Moves on the WebKinz website has nothing to do with me not sleeping...nor the espresso gelato I had at 11pm)

So, I'm sitting here, watching Fox & Friends on the Fox News channel. (boring! but not boring enough to make me sleep yet!)

I'm not expecting my dad to call me right away once they get to the hospital. I made sure to put my mom's brand new Epi-Pen in her purse before they left.

I tried to Google her symptoms, but nothing glaring comes up and Googling her symptoms is probably a bad idea (it was a bad idea for me to Google my MS symptoms when I first got them, but it didnt stop me then either)

Bored bored bored bored bored. Did I mention that I'm bored?

Maybe I'll go play on the WebKinz website for awhile again.

Good morning Earl and Erin!

Erin, I hope your Mom will be okay. Good thinking on packing the EpiPen. Hope she doesn't need it, though.

Earl, that's great about your BNO trip! I think there is something (probably on a smaller scale) like that in Salt Lake City. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Glad you got to spend some quality time with Mom and Dad.

I have no idea why I'm up. DDtr and SIL slept here and are going deer hunting with DH when it gets light. But I woke up first and I'm not going ~ go figure.
