Default Question about cable TV?

Does anyone have WOW or Insight or ATT&T? Any insight on what is best. Notice the pun on words! We have WOW and aren't very satisfied right now. My husband said to ask some friends what they have so I immediately thought of you guys.

No help from me! Sorry. I can only get Comcast. But...Verizon just ran fiber optics to our apartment complex and has been touting FIOS, the fiber optic service for TV and internet.

My DH and DS both work for AT&T, (a disclaimer). We've had WOW and AT&T.
WOW was tremendously expensive, and we had our share of service problems with both the TV and internet service with them.
We now have AT&T...the price is much better, because we have TV, internet, and our cell phone service with them.

My son installs the Uverse system for AT&T...says the internet DSL with Uverse is the fastest out there...he wishes he could get the service, but he can't where he lives...

We cancelled all TV services, thus saving $864/year (...part of our new budget plan).

I did not want to keep paying for TV that includes commercials. It made no sense to me.

Free TV is fine, and is expanding with the switch to digital (by Febraury 19, 2009 for all TV's).

The PBS channels that I watch used to only cover three stations, but with the digital system, PBS now has 9 channels.

When it comes to news, I just use the internet and newspaper.

Good luck on whatever you choose to do.

we don't have cable or dish either vic. big time savings.

at&t cable ok. lots of duplicate channels. that was a pain. when we got a new tv, i could block those.

as for their dsl..it stinks. ever wonder why i am gone for days?

yup...poor tech service with dsl. i have been trying to get a new modem for months. i have to share with hubby. they finally say they will replace it. oh..well, no...cuz now they say it's out of warrenty. wasn't out when they said yes. was out the next day after we finally got through to talk to someone. took 8 different numbers to call. on hold for hours. now they say we have to pay for one. doesn't matter that they see from tech records that the modem was bad from day one..

my vote, stay clear of at&t for dsl. it slow as heck too. i have been stuck with it, because the townhouse complex i live in has a contract with them.
