Default Nice Day !!

I'm almost afraid to say it out loud, but I feel good today. It's a beautiful day in my neighborhood. Sunny, gentle breeze, 78 degrees and low humidity..

I woke up a bit early today so an early nap is in store for me, which I will thoroughly enjoy. My DD and Grands were here to visit this morning, so I've had my fill of laughter and hugs for the week.

I'm not doing anything special just hanging and enjoying, while it lasts.

What are you all doing today?

I just wanted to wish you all a pleasant day, as well..

Hi Sally!
My plans for today include rushing through housework as soon as I finish my priorities: e-mail and checkin'in on Neurotalk buds.

My neighbor gave me the book "Fabulous Fourteen" so I am going to spend the rest of the day on the patio reading and finish it by the time the sun sets (I read fast).

DH is at the neighbors this afternoon watching Nascar so nice and peaceful here.

I was up early too, and got my dinette! So excited. I had to travel a bit, but it was worth it!

Now I'm taking a break from trying to put this thing together. It's an advanced project lol. I don't have much patience for lining up metal bars and having screws go in correctly. Not to mention shaky hands makes it even more aggravating!

But I just take breaks and think about how nice out it is, and smile. It will be put together eventually. I'm proud that 1 of 2 chairs is in 1 piece now, the table is going to be something else!

Janie, if DH were still with me, he'd be out on our screened patio watching Nascar....mostly through his eyelids...LOL..

Enjoy your Book..

We took the boys to the park for a bit. My 18month old ran all over the place! I can tell he's worn himself out...just the way he's been lounging around ever since.

Played a computer game with my 5yr old. Had a blast.

Watched the Movie Cars for the billionth time with my 2yr old. He's approaching 3 and I'm dreading it! 3's are worse than 2, imho!

We had quite a storm this afternoon. Had a wonderful steak and corn on the cob dinner!

Now it's bedtime for the little ones and am about to chill with the oldest before he goes to bed.

All in all...a very nice day!

Glad you're having such a relaxing kinda day, Sally . I'm sorting the floss for the first cross stitch project I've done in years . Not working anymore has some benefits .

Ok this is no offense whatsoever to the older generation. I love them but.....

My husband went on a golf outing today with an italian club that his dad belongs to.

I went too because after the golf outing they have a wonderful dinner. The shrimp is about the size of a shark (ok...not that big but you get the picture)

Anyway, why the guys golf, the women sit in the banquet hall and gab and play cards. Well I am the youngest one there at 47. The next youngest is 67and they are all Sicilian women.

All we talked about for 4 hours were.....One Lady has a morphine pump which she just loves and she's telling me this while she is nipping a scotch.

3 just had colonoscopies which thankfully everything was fine but one had a mass the size of a orange but it was benign.

2 of them just had both knees replaced, and one other had a hip replaced.

(they even showed me the scars).

I also saw the scar from the morphine pump which is to the side right below the belly button.

Some other ladies were talking about their mammograms, gastro endoscopy and hemroids.

Wow!!! What a day I had!

Did you know you can use preperation H under your eyes? It is suppose to hide the dark circles

That's the reason I just can't put myself there, in the OTH group, yet, even though I'm 68..

My sympathies, Beth..LOL!!!

OH! And I knew about the PH thing but, thought it took out the wrinkles.
