Default Sometimes even I amaze myself!

My BIL and SIL recently had premie twin boys that are cute as buttons. They also have a 3 1/2 year old daughter that is quite a handful. Yesterday they asked if I could baby sit the twins for a few hours. Of course I said yes, I just love to hold those babies! When I got there they informed me that my niece was staying at the house with me and the twins. On top of all that they were not gone a few hours -- they were gone 5 hours!!!

All was fine at first. The babies were sleeping nicely, and I got two hours of one on one time with my niece. After I got her lunch, both twins woke up and wanted to be fed. I was told they don't usually want to eat at the same time, but yesterday they sure did! Here I was feeding one and rocking the other one crying in the bassinet. All the while my niece is jumping around, throwing toys and not listening to me. I then spent the next 3 hours trading babies to feed them, change their tiny diapers and hold them to stop them from crying.

When I got back home I was so exhausted but pleased with myself that I could handle those three kids for that long! I'm used to my one DD that is such a good girl. Luckily last night my DD was at a sleep and my DH was working the night shift. Just what I needed - peace and quiet!

Wow, Karousel!

I substitute taught the 3-yos in Sunday School today. There were 3 of them and they each had their own ring (circus)! That was for only 30 minutes.

But 5 hours??? Holy cow!!! You rock, woman!

Default Wow!

That was amazing! Taking care of the twins for five hours with the 3-and-a-half year old! Feeding and changing diapers! You are indeed an awesome aunt.

Little question: Are you sure you don't have 3 pairs of hands?
