never had haggis (yet!) but...........

when we did in Kevin Bacon, mi esposo made some yummy blood sausage.

and he makes tripe soup that's muy delicioso.

our neighbors made head cheese (souse) and head bollos for us...

cow foot soup appears on local menus, and pig tails (in buckets of brine) are available at every corner tienda.

and Stotty?

there's a beef tongue marinating in the fridge right now, because hubby's making a GALANTINE !!

lucky me !!

Since deboning poultry is thought of as difficult and time-consuming, this is a rather elaborate dish, which is often lavishly decorated, hence its name, connoting a presentation at table that is galant, or urbane and sophisticated.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galantine

a recipe: http://www.chefdecuisine.com/main/ch..._GALANTINE.asp

can't WAIT for the pix...

I'm sure you looked absolutely STUNNING, mah deah... hard to believe you have kids old enough to get married.

Escargot is good, but for the rest...yer on yer own...there isn't enough booze in the world to get me drunk enough to try that stuff. Nope, no way.

I would never eat again! So that's what Haggis is! No thanks!

Seattle had some Scottish Festival and said that they would have Haggis. Glad I didn't go!

I will stick with my hamburgers. I bet you can't get hamburgers there!

Late to this but I would have picked the outfit you wore. I can't wait to see the pics.

Put pics in an album in my profile. Kinda neat being able to do that! I thought I'd have to resize them and post them, but I didn't.

Gotta run to an appointment. Don't laugh too hard at them!

The ring bearer was so bloomin' cute--he's about 18 months old. His dad's from Jamaica and has a lovely accent.

The flower girl took her job VERY seriously. She walked (practically at a crawl) down the aisle spreading the flower petals evenly and precisely.
