Default Wasted annoyance

We waited ALL DAY for Sears to deliver our new washer, and they finally came at 5:30!! I was grumbling away, loaded for bear by the time they got here.

However, the two guys (especially the guy in charge) ruined it all by being apologetic, cheerful, courteous, and efficient. Rats. Now I wasted all that perfectly good crabbiness.

Default Sorry, just had to rant!

A new washer, eh? Sounds like drudgery to me, but I guess it beats a washboard all to heck!

My brothers and I bought a new LCD TV for Dad's birthday earlier this month. The day of the delivery came and we waited , like you, with anticipation. The delivery guys called and said it would be late. Then they called when it was late and said they weren't coming until the next morning.

It was no big deal, but I just gotta get this off my chest, so hear me out!

The delivery guy came just after 8:00. He couldn't figure out how to make the Dish work, so he called another driver in to help. Guy #2 was such a goofball, but between the two of them, they finally got the satellite TV to work on the new set.

All was well, until Guy #2 summed it all up by saying with a wink in Dad's direction, "Well, at least now he can watch the Playboy channel!"

Dad's just gets the basic package and his worst TV habits involve watching WWF wrestling. I shot #2 a glance and said, "He'd better not!"

Then Guy #2 laughed it off by saying something to the effect that every guy watches it (or deserves to watch it) or something like that! Oh puhleeze!

I felt that remark was so out of line with how the company would expect to be represented by an employee.

He hurried and left before I could unload my crabbiness on him, so then I had to have it all day long!!!

Okay, thanks Blessings. Been wanting to unburden myself of that for weeks now.

You can have your thread back. As you were.

And Yeahbut, you'd better not tell me that at least the sun was out and it wasn't raining!!! Or else!!!

Yeah, ELSE!

I ordered my bed frame from Sears. The guys that brought it up to my apartment were hunks. I'll order from Sears again if those guys are the ones coming to my place. Mhm.

We ordered an exercise machine and another time a washer from Sears. Never a hunk delivery guy, but the guy who picks up John Deere riding mower - there's a hunk. Even DH said something to me about it. Now when mower needs work he accuses (LOL?)me of breaking it on purpose.

Hmm, one of the guys might have been a hunk if I happened to be a junior in high school! I'll bet juniors in high school don't even use the word "hunk" anymore.

We were going to get the next-to-cheapest Kenmore, but it was free delivery if $399 or more, so it was actually cheaper to buy the next one up.

Bob is washing towels right this minute, and he can't get over not having to fill it up with a hose running from the tap to the tub, and then going back down and doing the same for the rinse cycle. OR having to try two or three times to make it drain. He thinks he's in laundry heaven.

I think, "There goes $450 bucks."

LOL, my delivery guys were either in their late 20's or early 30's, which works for me
