I was curious if another individual had carried on Terry Fox's "legacy" for MS.
I actually found this! Ride for MS! Probably old news to some, but it was new news to me!

I don't think most of our American comrades know who Terry Fox is, Laura (without looking it up
 ). He's a hero here though, that's for sure.This Richard guy has a good attitude . . . and plenty of good luck too, it seems. Cherie

Terry Fox is as much a hero here in the USA as he is in Canada. There are Terry Fox runs all over the US. It doesn't matter where he came from, it's what he did to advance fundraising for cancer patients and how he did it. Heroes are honored the world over, regardless of where they are from, and he is a hero to an uncountable number of cancer patients and their families worldwide.

No doubt there are many others that do too though . . . I just doubt he is as "famous" there as here. We still teach "Terry Fox 101" to every kid that starts school. Cherie

My son went to a private international school in Holland for 3 years and every year they had a Terry Fox run/fun walk to raise money so we know all about him!
