Jappy if you keep on clicking on the map around Lexington it will zoom in and you can see Winchester. I found it 'cause I wanted to find out how close it was to where my daughter lives. Her address is actually Nicholasville but it is right outside Lexinton city limits. If you need a good church and don't mind driving into Lexinton, let me now.

I'm hoping and praying that this is just one of those storms that will fizzle out without a lot of damage.

I wish everyone the best in Louisiana. I lived in New Orleans for 2 years and left a year before Katrina came. I am so fond of that city. In fact, I was supposed to go visit in 2 weeks! I worry about my friends although I am sure they have left with their 2 year old, 2 dogs, and 1 cat in a very small car. They had a bad time with Katrina, being displaced from their home for months. And others I know too had it rough.

I am watching news coverage right now (it's 2:33 am ) and Gustav seems to be moving slightly more to the NW which means 70 mph winds as opposed to 115 mph in east New Orleans. Good news!!! That can make all the difference in the world in terms of surge and flooding. But I am still hoping things aren't so bad for those in the center of the state who will be hit by the eye dead on. It's so terrible that people have to go through the same trauma just 3 years later.

Well, it seemed to fizzle a little, as to NO, but still doing damage.. I'll hold out voting untill the flood threat is over. Remember, Katrina? They thought they got by with it that time too, until the Dams broke.

Still keeping all of them in my prayers..
