Whoo-eee, I am one tired old lady. I was in here munching some string cheese, and I heard Bob (outside) yell, "Hey, you right there? Whose dog is this?"
Well, first I thought, Oh no, those stupid beagles are after our chickens again! But when I looked out, it was my neighbor's little chihuahua. And they aren't home! Oh no! We're right on the main road--tractor trailers, etc. He must have got out from the pen somehow! So out I went, Queen Wobbly, and walked over to their house, with the little guy yapping at me the whole time. I must have stood over on their steps for a half hour trying to coax the little weasel closer. Finally he got close enough for me to open the door to the sun porch and pretend I was going inside. He made a mad dash past me, and I slammed the door and trapped him in there. Luckily I remembered that the neighbor had her "land line" number transferred to her cell phone, so I called her and told her that the little rascal was trapped on her porch. I have no idea how far away she is! Now I'm tuckered out and there's still one more little dog over there in the pen. He/she better stay in there, because I don't have it in me to chase down another one, but neither do I want to see the little feller get squashed. I can remember the day when this wouldn't have been a major adventure, just a blip on the radar. I feel like I've run a marathon. Aaaargh. At least he didn't bite me!

glad you were able to save the yappy dog, sorry you are a bit tired now,
I love animals and even some humans, but those dogs irk me big time. talk about yap yap yap yap we had neighbors that would let theirs out and would sit at the back of our yard by the fence yapping for hours, perhaps i should be more upset with the human element involved.

Little bugger will probably come over and spell out "You're my hero" in little dog poops.

And the saga continues:
I looked out the window, and THERE HE WAS AGAIN! Right in the road, staring down pickup trucks!! I couldn't believe my eyeballs! So out I went again, but this time I ordered Bob to keep the little muttski occupied while I went and called the neighbor's brother. Back I hiked over to the neighbors with yappy right at my heels. I figured he'd stay out of the road if he had to be on duty protecting his house from me. I don't know how he escaped from the sunporch, but the brother and wife showed up and chucked him in the house. I can hear him over there barking "you old bat" at me. Tough. A woman's work is never done.

Definitely shows your character as a caring thoughtful person. I can imagine that many would just ignore the dog and let fate run it's course.
