Default Freshest coffee- do you grind your own?

Ok, since nappy brought up the subject of coffee, I got to thinking, I was going to do a poll but changed it to a normal thread with questions.

1. Which brand/ kind of coffee do you like? which is the best?

2. what kind of maker do you have? single cup or pot?

3. do you grind your own beans or buy ground?

My wife got a Tassimo coffee making system as a gift a few years back and we use those pod's, I am tired of them and am trying to convince her to put it on craigs list and get a maker like nappy just bought, or we may be a two coffee maker family.

I used to grind my own beans,

1. I love Dunkin' Donuts coffee, but buy cheaper brands.

2. By the pot, dear sir. (I secretly long for a coffee cup that will hold an entire pot.)

3. I grind my teeth. Isn't that enough?

My favorite is 100% Columbian. I like Eight O'Clock (grind the whole bag at the store), Hills Bros., Maxwell House, and Folger's only when desperate. I don't dig any other variety more than Columbian but real Kona is a close second and Sumatran is quite nice as well.

I used to grind by the pot but it's not convenient for me here so I put the grinder away for now. One of these days it will be back in action.

I tried some Tassimo and that other one with the little liquid dealies and neither one impressed me enough to convert.

There's an Italian coffee that's excellent but I can never remember the name, it comes in a really tall gold can with some red on it. I love that stuff but I'm not ready to start ordering coffee from overseas!

*smack*

Get your own kind, that one's mine, ya' copy cat.

Tim Hortons fine grind. All the way. Comes in 1kg tins. Don't have to grind it myself, and always tastes delicious.

Oh, I have a 12 cup maker... one of those ones requiring a filter. Percolator? I think they're called?

1. I really enjoy Cafe Bustelo, but don't have many opportunities here in Houston to drink it. I drank it daily when we lived in Miami. Favorite at work - Texas Pecan. Home - Folger's (my wife does the shopping).

2. By the pot - at home, a Braun. At work, a Bunn industrial job.

3. We'll grind occasionally, usually around holidays. Otherwise - we're really too busy.

Maybe we can get CayoKay to send us some from Belize, Cindy! **hint, hint Kay!** She's always talking about how good the coffee is there!

I think coffee should be listed as it's own food group......

1. There is a coffee shop near me which I LOVE their coffee, when I can afford it - LaLa Java - otherwise it is Maxwell House

2. I use a percolator! It perks up to 8 cups.

3. Sometimes grind if I buy from LaLa, otherwise just buy ground.

Good coffee in the morning is the best!
