You have a great attitude about it, Batman. I've been lake people my entire life and losing a boat that way is really tough, but I'm glad you have your head on yar.
Near my childhood home, there was a huge, old warehouse that held a most golden collection of nearly the whole history of woody Chris-Crafts, all were lost in a fire and the town practically mourned over it for weeks. There's just something about boats.

That's really unfortunate, I am guessing with the winds it would have been a very difficult fire to fight

Because of the high water and fences, they couldn't even get to it to fight it. Besides, there were about 100-125 boats in there made of fiberglass and full of gas. VERY unsafe fire to fight without an overhead platform to spray from and they couldn't raise ladder trucks because the wind was already blowing 35-45 mph.

Yeah, the local news said that the roads were completely flooded with 8 or more feet of water. They couldn't get the fire teams close enough to do a bloody thing. What a drag.
