I had a phone call last night from an MSer from another state who I met on line, and who is here visiting family in the state where I live. We met for coffee this morning and got to meet for the very first time, and what a lovely time we had.

She is just lovely and even our DH's clicked. I'm looking forward to meeting them both again at a later date as they've now invited us to visit them in their home.

I got DH to take a photo of the two of us together and I was very lucky,. He'd just taken the photo when I got the "memory card full" message! I'd forgotten to empty the pictures out when I downloaded them last week. Anyway, we did get a photo to celebrate the event.

Last month I went on a mini vacation to another state and got to meet another MSer who I'd met online. I consider myself a very lucky person to have this opportunity to "meet" new people, and what a wonderful experience it is when you finally get together. I've been lucky enough to meet several of my online friends now, but there are quite a few across the ocean who are on my "want to meet" list when I win the lottery!

I just read about Sassy and AMN's visit. Who else has great stories to tell about meeting face to face?

I have met quite a few people here, the first one was Riverwild which will always hold a special memory in my heart. Then RW and I headed to MA to meet lots of people! Then, I met FlyFishinMomma which will also always hold special memories in that special place but.....

I have to say that the top memory will always be seeing DM come across the parking lot to welcome Riverwild and I and then take us up to the hotel room to finally surprise our very own AfterMyNap! And what a surprise that was!!! The look on her face will always be etched in my memory! plus we have in on camera!

That was the best weekend..... I didn't get to talk to you but I sat right beside DM and heard your voice as she cried. So many memories in such a short time......

We are so lucky to have this wonderful group of people

How fun for you, Anne! It never ceases to amaze me that this hideous disease that can cause so much misery has afforded us all so many new, lasting friendships.

My own wanderings have allowed me to meet a few board buds and it has been a wonderful and fun thing to me.

I must concur, the surprise attack from the Mainahs goes down in my book as the funniest and most shocking meet so far. That weekend went so fast and we had such a grand time! My chin still drops when I think of what those broads pulled on me.

I STILL start laughing out of the blue sometimes! A memory will cross my mind and I am off...both from Mass and from IL!!

When Koala called and talked to DM, even I was tearing up...it's the ONLY time I was happy that someone had given my number out!
