Sorry for the frowny face right off the bat.

I've been sad, weepy, no appetite....generally blah. I keep thinking it's because I've gone off my AD and have to get used to the change. I know it'll take a few months. Or maybe because of this sinus infection that refuses to budge. But....I can't even watch The Price Is Right without getting emotionally involved!!

Then it dawned on me.....Monday would be Tim's birthday. He would have been 54 (that sounds old although I know it's not. He was seven years older than me). Tim wasn't around when I was dx with MS. He wasn't around when my parents and my sister died. He wasn't here when Matt graduated the Police Academy. Or when Kevin bought his first car - a Mustang (he would have been thrilled even tho it's a Ford!). So many things going on.....so many things he missed....and we missed sharing with him.

I have no idea why this birthday is hitting me so hard. This will be the eighth birthday we've celebrated without him. He passed away almost two months prior to his birthday (in July 2001).

I know exactly what he'd tell me....I can just hear him now.... "C'mon now baby girl.....we don't need any of that." He hated to see me cry (although I rarely did) and would stand on his ear if he thought it would make me stop! If I'd been smart I'd have used that more to my advantage... .

Hopefully this "spell" will pass soon....I do not like feeling this way.

(((Kelly))) It is probably a combination of things making you feel so emotional. When I don't feel well, things bother me more than any other time.

Tim is probably still saying, "C'mon now baby girl.....we don't need any of that."

I don't have any advice for you other than this will pass. Allow yourself the time to feel this way. Saying some prayers for you.

You'll make it just fine, Kell. Sometimes these spurts of emotion are our hearts' way of appreciating those who went before us. Try to recount the things Tim was there for, like seeing the birth of your children, I'm pretty sure that the good times will outweigh the ones he missed.

Cindy, I do try hard to focus on the good memories but every now and then it gets hard to do. Most of the time, though, I'm OK.

Tricia, I just called the doctor and asked for a different antibiotic. I honestly don't think this one is working. And yes, I am much more emotional when I don't feel well.

Yabbit....I know he's telling me to stop!! I think he hid the Kleenex 'cause I could have sworn I carried them into the den with me and then I couldn't find them. Finally found them on the floor beside the couch!
