I'm not sure which way to answer, LOL. I grew up in a state that called it soda, but live in a state that calls it pop.

Here in GA every carbonated drink is a "Coke". Doesn't matter if it's really a Sprite....it's called a Coke.

How come "Coke" and "I Don't Care" aren't part of the poll?

I lived in GA for a few years, I loved going to downtown ATL. and touring the Coke factory. they have a tasting room with over 100 flavors of coke. some are incredible. I guess (from what they told me) any soda company can only market a certain number of cola's at one time. I loved the peach coke, and some of the others you can taste there.

One day, if we ever move to Nashville I will look forward to being able to drive to ATL to taste "chocolate coke" once in a while

Grew up in south eastern Ontario, where we called it 'pop'.

Now I live next to Maine in New Brunswick (Canada not accounted for, whaaa?) and I don't drink any of it! But I will still refer to it as pop, until I get the weird look, and then say 'soda'.

texas here....

coke...or soda.

when going out to eat, you are normally asked if you want tea ( and you better say unsweetened if you don't want sweetea) or what kind of coke would you like?

might need to edit your poll earl.

Soda. But a lot of my state says pop.

I think "pop" and the rest of my brain fills in "cicle" or "goes the weasel."

And I HATE when you ask for a Coke and the waitress goes, "Uh huh." scribbles madly and then says, "Pepsi?" Um... NO. If I wanted Pepsi I would have SAID Pepsi. <sigh>
