I got up early today to go to a rummage sale a friend had to raise money for MS. Got home about 2 and was resting when I realized I hadn't eaten anything but a donut at the sale.
I was about to go to the corner to get a burger form DQ when I looked in our pantry, buried deep in the pantry were some air-crisp crackers. I then looked in the fridge and found some salmon spread from the bagel shop. I had a really nice snack. Amazing what you find when you look in your own kitchen, I gotta do that more often.

It's amazing what those packages and containers have in them. I confess that I sometimes look at all of them and think, "I have to find something to eat." But if I put my mind to it, there's usually something I can whip up from the contents of my pantry.
Your snack sounds yummy. I am, however, really looking for a chocolate fix right now.

Oh but I DO get a craving for a McDonald's cheeseburger every once in a while. And nothing else will do BUT a McD's cheeseburger.
I did say that I was NOT going to eat a McDonalds or Burger King when in Wales and I didn't. It just seemed wrong to come back to the US and have people ask what you did over there and to say, "Ate at McD's and BK, drank beer, and watched sheepherding."

But don't you ever get a craving for one of those, get all excited, get there, get said greasy dripping burger in hand, bite down, and then think "Ewww". Like, it was overcooked or the bun sucks or whatever. Then you get all because it wasn't half as good as you remember it being the last time? That was my last Harvey's veggie burger experience. I figured it would be win win getting the Angus Burger fancy bun with my veggie burger. Bun was sub par for 20 cents more, and I swear they cooked that veggie burger for an hour, it was so dry.

Ok, I'll bite (pun intended): WTH is a Harvey's veggie burger? (and yes, I know that Harvey was a 6' tall rabbit who wore a hat with holes cut out for his ears)
I love a good veggie burger. Could be a vegetarian except that I really, really love a good med-rare steak sometimes. As Jane on Couplings said, I'm a bi-vegetarian--I eat meat when I want. OMG..... too funny.... Ho boy.... you said it about the buns. And sometimes I get a McD's Big and Tasty and they slather it with loads of mayo and kill it. Laura, next time order your veggie burger medium rare. Ever see the Far Side cartoon that shows the cavemen coming out of the forest with a huge carrot held over their heads? The caption reads: Early vegetarians after the hunt.
