Default Calm before the storm

about 1:00 there was a slight breeze in the air - well, in the last 20 minutes everything has been dead calm and we look out in the distance and the sky is just as black as it could be!!! It is getting dark and it is only 3:15!!!

is this what they call the calm before the storm? alls I can say is it is pretty darn freaky right now!!!!

no rain, no wind, no nothing!

Char, please be careful. The weather report said ya'll were in for some fierce storms. Make sure your cell phone is charged up. If you lose power will you call someone (you have my #) and let them know you're OK so we don't worry?

Take care.....

We've been upgraded!

Very calm and quiet here too right now, no wind at all. Very gray, light rain, but it doesn't look like anything much.

Just started to rain here. Course, it's 7pm as well, so I'm going to miss the cloud show because we're getting this overnight and Monday early.

Wind is beginning to pick up a little bit ;D

trust me, I'll never say that again!

I was dumbfounded and astonished by the sheer quantity of rain and wind.

luckily, I haven't (yet) seen a real hurricane here in the tropics.

glad all is well so far, Char, River, & Laura...

and keep us posted, okay?
