Default Quitting smoking

And actually... I'm sitting at my computer, not lighting up! I'm even drinking a coffee without a cigarette in hand!

It's going on 3 pm, and the last one I had was before midnight last night.

Went out for a walk today (it's gorgeous out), got a salad for lunch, picked up some odds and ends, now I'm at home and I have my bottle of water and I hid my cigs out of sight and told my buddy to get over here and take them with him (2 full packs, and he's a smoker haha).

So far it's been actually very easy, but I have to thank (ironically) burning mouth syndrome for being enough of a pain to get me to stop smoking. I worked up to it, now if I can survive through the next 60 hours approx. I seem to recall the first 3 days being the worst.

I'm doing this cold turkey btw, the ONLY way I was able to quit before. This time I won't be stupid and start again though LOL.

Good for you! You are doing something great for your health and your wallet. How much do your cigs go for in Canada? Are they as expensive as they are here in the States? My Grandma smokes and I am continually horrified at the cost nowadays.

Thanks all!

Hollym, they're incredibly expensive. I smoke Du Maurier in Canada, and 25 smokes = $10+. I was smoking at least 1 pack a day.

I still have not had one today, but I did go shopping and got a purse and some other stuff I needed.
