Default hurricane stuff (Ike)

Insurance adjuster showed up yesterday. We get a new roof, complete. New ceiling in kitchen and ceiling painted in the other 5 rooms with water damage. A few other things. It went well. No hassles.

I'm hearing the same thing you guys are about hundreds of people missing. I don't think it's gonna pan out to be that bad.

Damage assessment at NASA Johnson Space Center - about 40 million $. Mostly roofs.

Traffic lights are back 99%. Unfortunately, so are the tolls on the toll roads...

Sorry to hear you had that much damage to your home, Big Tom.
But definitely glad that things will get fixed.

We get to wait until the 22nd for an adjustor to look at our roof

On the bright side, our cat came home! I drove into the driveway after being in Denver for 2 days, and he was waiting for me like nothing had changed...except he had been gone almost 2 weeks. He was a little skinny and very hungry, but otherwise is back to his old self...

Glad to hear the insurance paid off Tom! We hear too many bad stories about when it doesn't and not ever enough about when it does!

Batman, glad to hear the kitty is home and safe!
