Default hysterectomy tomorrow

I've given my enema and I'm ready! I go in at 9 and surgery at 11. Hopefully it will just be an overnight but if it is cancer, thet will change it to an abdominal incision and I stay in the hospital longer.

I will be thinking and praying for you, Doydie. Best of Luck and please let us know as soon as you can!

I had cancer tumor on my cervix (?spell?) but that was the only place, and poof it was gone! I was lucky!!!

I had my "hyst" years ago for a big old grapefruit size tumor and had an abdominal incision. If I had it to do over I would have had the smiley face bikini incision since they heal faster. See if that is an option for you.

I was just thrilled to have the trouble making, expensive parts GONE and even more thrilled when I could walk past that aisle in the grocery store!!

WOO HOO!!!

Please know that you'll be on my mind Doydie.

I've had one of those ops myself, so I know what you'll be going through. Mine was done vaginally so I don't even have a scar!

Hi Doydie,
Best wishes with that surgery tomorrow. I had an abdominal hysterectomy in January 2007 for uterine fibroids. Really glad to have that behind me. I was worried about MS flaring up, but didn't have any MS issues with the surgery.

I hope all goes well with you!

Had a total 31 years ago - glad to be rid of all of it - didn't aggravate my MS either - best of luck -

I am sending out prayers for your surgery. my wife had her Hyst. 5 years ago and she used the "no housekeeping" recovery excuse until last month, was that too long? lol.

good luck and I wish you fast healing.

Hi Doydie,

I'll say a prayer for a good surgery and no cancer. I had one in Dec 2000. I had a big grapefruit fibroid too, and endometriosis in my ovaries and abdomen. I also had the long cut so I have a big scar.

I also hope you'll get the little bikini cut (or even tiny incisions) and be up and around in no time.
