Our local newspaper wanted to talk with someone with MS about Michigan's proposal 2 which is to make embryonic stem cell research lawful in Michigan.
The Michigan chapter of the NMSS gave them my name with my consent. I really hope this starts no debates about this controversial subject, I just thought you might like to see what was written. Of course, I am the Brenda J. that they talk about and quote, also my pic is there, front page large. LOL This is where you can find it. http://www.argus-press.com/articles/...ries/main1.txt

Good for you, Brenda. Bravo!! You know where I stand on this issue since I am a Biologist and understand that historically, the ignorant are the ones who once claimed that the world was flat and the the earth was the center of the universe. Of course, some people did have to be prodded into believing those "realities" because being a contrarian at the time would make one a heretic. I realize that my opinions are not always popular when it comes to issues such as this...but if everyone had MS, I bet there would not be any arguement about the need to pursue science. Even the ignorant would understand. -Vic |
