Things are getting put together slowly but surely. My husband does a little work when he gets off work. He is off this weekend so i hope more is done. He has hundreds of 8 track tapes, regular cassette tapes. VCR tapes and old LPs to somehow organize. I am trying to get him to throw some away. But he wants to keep them all. So he is just going to store them. But he still needs to organize them and get favorites in baskets or wahtever in our new theatre wall.

This is a pic of our drapes. They definetly weren't my first choice nut he says that by buying a less expensive drape it will allow us to get the area rug I want. So, you give and take. He has actually said he doesn't want to use our coffee table anymore. it took a lot for him to say that and that is the reason he wants to put a rug down. Tomorrow I'm going to go out and buy sheers to put under the drapes so I can use a tie back. We have old ugly windows. We have also started placing pictures, not hanging them yet, just placing them on the floor below where they will go. He is so afraid of putting holes in the walls that we paid so much to be done.

I have firmly decided that large room redos are not for 60 year overweight men that hate their day jobs and are just unhappy with life in general and obese near 60 year old MSers who have a big problem with fatigue. We have been tackling the isssue ot the ceiling lights. First of all you have to go to many stores to see and re-see what's out there. And then you have to tackle your spouse because he doesn't want what you want. So finally you get so tired going from place to place you give in to your spouse and get what he wants. Then you have to put it up! This is when the age and fatigue part comes into play. And we hit a foul ball. Oh, I'm sorry, it's not base ball season anymore. It took us nearly 3 hours to get one of them up!

Tomorrow my sis comes over and we are going to get some pictures up to make it look like a room! I have the kids play area almost like I want it. I haven't got my accent rug yet. I wish prices on everything else had gone down like the gas prices had!

We bought this theatre wall, which is small to some standards, to store my husbands 'stuff' in. But he doesn't want anything to do with it yet. I guess he's just too tired. Plus my DD broke our VCR/DVD player trying to hook it up and he can't play anything.

Sister came over and we got tie backs on and a few pictures up. I'm not sure my DH will like it but the ones I did know he didn't like where I had them planned we didn't put up. Ihad this beuatiful picture my son in law brought back from Iraq last year. It was lighted. But it had Europeon cuircitry and plug so we will have to have it completely rewired. That pic is going in the area above the TV where we have such a bare spot.

Doydie, you don't have to have the pic rewired. They sell plugs that convert the European plugs into American plugs. Check out the hardware or electronics store near you. I wish I still had mine because I'd send it to you. Let me check my tool box. In the meantime Amazon.com has them too: http://www.amazon.com/Hitech-Adaptor...7664758&sr=1-1

BTW, looking really nice!
