Mad I am grouchy!

Dont know whether I am creeping up on a flair, or have overloaded my things to do plate, but DANG! I am grouchy!

I am not normally a grouchy person, I can normally see sunshine in a blizzard, and dew drops in a desert. Am I channeling someone who is really ticked off? Is there something chewing at me that I havent discovered? Ever want to stomp around the house and fling things, like a 3 year old who was told NO! when he asked for candy in the grocery store? Well, thats me! I feel like I am on the verge of a big ol temper tantrum!

Does this ever happen to you? what do you do to self comfort?

Oooh, yes! Happened to me a week or so ago, prompting my Crabby thread!

I actually think it was due to discontinuation syndrome b/c I cut my AD in half.

Did you change your meds, Deji?

Sorry, but as my mother always said, "This, too, will pass." To which I always added, "Like a kidney stone." hehe

I hope your mood improves as the day progresses.

Sorry to hear you're grumpy today.

I've had days where I felt like flinging plates and punching walls. If I have the energy, I channel it into cleaning stuff as I listen to heavy metal music.

If not, I have a stuffed animal that is my anger channeler. Got this tip from a psychologist a long time ago, which is probably where the idea for those stress balls came from. Believe it or not, Mine's the mascot for Syracuse U, so it's a round orange thing, LOL. I stomp on it, squeeze it, throw it at something (no breakables nearby). Then go do something else, like one of my hobbys or video games.

Hope it passes soon.

Dejibo!! OMGosh....this could have been me a week ago

Ummm...starting a threat admitting my grouchiness is most certainly a start to self-comfort AKA getting lots of emotional support from good friends!!!
Read a Book, play a game....YELL, SCREAM, STOMP MY FEET ...all this and more when I've got those 'grouchy blahs!'

Hope it gets better for you!!!

I'm with you on this. I'm in the middle of a flare, PMSing, have a wonderful husband who can be totally cluesless and I have been losing it. I get a bit cranky "that time of the month" but not like this, so I'm attributing it to feeling like crud everyday.

I actually did throw a plate (plastic) and a temper tantrum on Sunday. FYI - it didn't make me feel better, just made me feel embarrassed that I lost it so completely.

I am so easily unhinged these days - the last month or so. I'm trying to get through some tests the neuro wants done first and then I'm giving in to a 3 day IVSM treatment.

Sorry you feel this way, too. I usually try to be cheerful, too, but it's gotten real hard lately. I just want to tell a lot of people to **** off and that really isn't like me.

me too ... and I live alone ... get the feeling that nothing is going my way ... and yadda yadda yadda ...

then - I just sit and remote thru the TV channels ... then get off my butt and write a postcard to a friend ... and get my mind off of me ...

then - I do something JUST FOR ME ... like splurge and order a large pizza ... and get to thinking about my friends ...

eventually the grumpies leaves ...

hope you are feeling better!! thanks for sharing!

Hey D'bo! AYUP~ I've been there. I don't usually get too angry, but a few wks ago, I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin and thump the first person I saw. So, I got in my car and took a little drive down by the river. It was great therapy for me.

But, I don't have little ones at home, so it's easy to leave. Hope your mood improves and definitely hope it's not a flare coming on. Take care DB!

Have you seen the movie Grumpy Old Men...well meet Grumpy Old Lady!!
I would attribute it to men-a-pause...but then I am actually past waiting to pause for them to get out of my way!! (kiddding you guys,I love ya)

Last week I didn't know whether to kick the dog or kill the husband...I decided to toss a coin...I didn't have one. Good thing according to the local police department, cause its illegal in this state to kill your dog. I woulda felt kinda bad harming an innocent anyway...the dog...ain't no way my husband is innocent of anything...

Well, honey I sho nuff hope those grouchies go away, if not...please don't harm any innocents and check to make sure what the laws are concerning harming humans...tide and hefties aren't what they claim to be...

The only good way to make sure a body ain't found is not to leave one.

Hope you least thought of a smile even if you didn't get the muscles to make one

When I get really crabby (rare, thank GOD) the best thing I can do is get by myself, surround myself with music I enjoy or a good book, take a walk, whatever.

The WORST thing I can do is be around people, whether it's face to face, on the telephone, or yes, even online. When I'm that crabby, it doesn't matter what people say, it's always the wrong thing.

If people try to cheer me up, I feel as though they are making light of my (real or imagined) woes. If they tell me it could be worse, I'm offended. If they proceed to tell me they know JUST what I mean and start to play grouchy poker, I'm ready to bite them.
