We are minus one kitty cat today. I wasn't going to post, but needed to write it down and let it go.
Our 16 yr old black/white cat had hyperthyroidism for the past 3 years. She did well on the meds. Friday evening she just stopped eating and drinking. Saturday she drank a little water and some kitten formula. I figured I'd take her to the Vet on Monday. Sunday evening she wanted me to hold her head, nothing else. I whispered to her it was ok to go if she needed to... dang if she didn't take off running for the "Rainbow Bridge" less than 2 minutes later. Our 16 year old grey cat has missed her today. She wanted to be held most of the day, which is totally unusual for her. Normally these two wouldn't even look at each other....the grey one would pee on the others bedding when she was bugged about something! Silly little furballs.
