I finally figured out how to upload pics into my album!
I kept reading directions over and over for weeks and just got more confused and upset so today I just started clicking and it worked!! These little accomplishments mean so much.

I must admit that I peeked this morning as well.
I love the cactus garden too. Did you plant them because you really like them, or is it because the AZ climate doesn't support other types of plants? Edit: That Donkey Kiss Janie is so cute!

I love the cactus and they were growing on lots we owned before we built in this area so we (legally) moved them. We are a high desert climate so can grow most anything but citrus. Roses really do well here and bloom most of the year. I have jasmine and a few other things but wanted to keep it low maintenance as we love road trips. Also, at the time I was on a bunch of meds and using a walker. *I got the donkey kiss from a really cool site.

If you're prepared to share the site, could you please send me a PM Janie? I've lost the web address that I used to get all my great signatures from and haven't been able to find a new one.

yep; that's our home we call it the mud hut in the desert (stucco). We were fortunate to build before the boom and then the bust.
The palms and yucca have grown since then so I should take a more recent picture. The yucca are still blooming and really pretty now.

Janie your pics are beautiful! Your house is so pretty. I love the "no mowing" yard!!
What's the weather like there? Is it hot all the time or do you get seasons?

We are in "high desert" country so we have four seasons but are milder than further south so not too bad. We have had some snows here in past years but since we have been here (5 years) it hasn't been bad at all. We usually have two or three snow days but gone by noon. Last year we didn't have any! We have a view of the Hualapai mountains where it is cooler and snow sticks so if we want to see we just look out the window as I don't mind it at a distance. Three years ago we had a terrible blizzard of four inches of snow and some roads and schools were closed. We sat by the radio laughing because we don't consider that a blizzard. It was gone by noon but the talk of the town for days!! Summers do get warm but so little humidity that we don't turn the air on unless it is over 100 degrees. We have ceiling fans and there is nearly always a cool breeze. We had a high of 110 this Summer for three days and that was HOT! Other than that not bad and we can eat most meals on the patio. I was surprized at how many trees and flowers there are here and most of our neighbors have gardens they just have to water a lot. Our yard is low maintenance so we just rearrange the rocks.
