Default Found that Porch!!

Wow did I miss alot here? Stocked up my duct tape, hope your ready. Well yes I have kind of gotten over my Mom's passing. The holidays might be a little rough but I'll do fine. I think things will go better than if she was here in the state she was.

My mother had to be center stage for the holiday's, you know cook for 20 when there was only 4-6 of us, and decorations galore. So because she was paralyzed from her stroke, it would have been harder to see my Mom try to watch.

So anyways, I have been fishng alot. We bought a 2005 20ft pontoon boat because our friends was not stable enough for me to move around in. We have caught alot of Cobia, shark, snapper and others. A little hard reelin those fish in when you have numbness in one hand and the other barely works, but I manage.

Sorry Momma we dont have any porches here in West Central Florida, at least not where Im at. So guess I will have to get back to my old self and send the termites your way. Not too much else here, just getting boat ready for next trip.

massive nests of termites in my mango orchard here, don't need any more, thanks, you keep 'em.

sorry about your mom, Jmiller, and hope your heart heals soon.

after you're better, we have plans cooked up for you.

thinkin' 'bout snitchin' one of them-thar snappers, and hidin' it in one-a yer air ducts.

then, we kick back and watch the fun, as you play "follow your nose" to find the source of the stench, a week or so later.

It is so good to see you, been wondering how you've been.

Honey, I just don't know when you gonna learn, this ole porch is indestructable...we had a pontoon and I loved it. It was big enough to put 6 people or more and still fish, the kids could walk around...I miss it. I'm not crazy about his lil ole bitty bass boat, but it does get us around.

I haven't been fishing since Sept...I am planning to come down in Jan and go fishing at Chassahowitzka for a few days...can't wait.

Maybe if you can get away we could grab a cup of coffee or lunch...just let me know.

I will be thinking of you this Holiday season...the first few seem to be the most hardest.

Oh Ill find your porch, then I have plans. Let me know exactly when you come down, thats only 30-45 minutes from here. I could even come up the gulf and meet you all at the river inlet.

I'm so jealous..... haven't been fishing all year and I really MISS it!! Would LOVE to catch a Cobia. Always get excited when the guys off the end of the pier catch one. The zing of the reel going always makes me antsy and I'm tense until they get it onto the wood. King Mackerel is also fun to watch them catch.

Catch stuff for me. I won't be able to get fishing until next year. <sigh>

Cayo sounds like she's got a great idea about the air vents. Want some help stuffing them in there, Cayo?

I will get in touch when I go down...it will be around the first week in January unless things change.

We actually sold our pontoon in 2005 to a couple that drove from around Spring Hill all the way to Georgia to pick it up. That is about a 5 to 6 hour drive to get a boat. I hope they are enjoying that boat...it saw a lot of fishing and family vacations...lol

I caught a Cobia that was too big to keep a few months ago...Mackeral would hit my line whether I wanted them or not...my BIL called me the Queen MacMomma.lol We normally fish for speckled trout, drum and sheephead.

I like fishing for blues and for Spanish Mackerel. They're both good eating. Both hit hard, too. Casting for Spanish is great fun.

Saw a huge black drum being hauled in one time off the beach. That thing must have weighed at least 45 lbs.

Would love to go for stripers some time. They hit some of the freshwater areas around me occasionally but I have such an aversion to freshwater fishing. Never seem to catch things, but always do with saltwater.

I would love to be able to fish all over the place...just fish from state to state. I tell my DH when he kicks the bucket, I'm gonna sell the house, live out of my truck and just fish. lol

He doesn't like fish nor does he like to fish very much. He gets bored with it if nothing bites. He is more a sports nut, golf, baseball, etc. He played sports from high school until he just got plain old. lol

These are a few of the fish we caught in September while we were at St Simon's.
