I know most of you probably think this isn't the place to post my dog is having surgery - Sorry.
Princess is my beautiful golden retriever (Jess's twin ). She has a basketball size tumor on the side of her shoulder that she is having removed this morning. She hasn't eaten in a few days and we are afraid it has grown into her throat. The vet did the check and the outside is not cancer but he is afraid that since it has grown so fast (since June) that there may be another tumor under it pushing the cancerfree one out so large. Please say a little prayer that all is well and it isn't to costly! Thank you.

Char, I think this is the perfect place for your post and to ask for prayers. I've already said a prayer for Princess and will continue praying for her. I know how much you love her....pets are a part of our family. Please keep us updated as to how things went for her today.

I am sending the very best of wishes to you and Princess. She'll do well. My dachshund, age 11 had a recent scare and it turned out to be a benign tumor mass above and in his conjuctiva of his eye and a benign cyst on his paw...all removed successfully and he came home the same day and slowly began eating. I made him his favorite for a while (boiled/skinless chicken breast with plain rice). Everything will be okay . Please let us know how everything goes.

The vet called and all is well! She ended up having 3 tumors removed. One Large on her shoulder which he said when he shaved the fur off was all bruised and had to be causing her pain. The other two were in her arm pit on the same side. One we knew about the second was behind in a muscle.
Thank you for your prayers. I can pick her up later this afternoon.
