Well, here I go, last day. I can't leave as early as I usually do, because I have to wait for Deanna to get there to let me in! ACK, no keys!!

It snowed a little bit during the night, just a trace, but I can't tell if it's slippery or not. Don't know if I dare set out with Speed Buggy (my rollator) because the brakes don't work in the snow. But I definitely AM going to walk to work on my last day!! Victory is mine! (Hope those aren't famous last words)

Usually I can hold it together when I have to, you know, do my job then fall apart on my own time. I hope nothing happens to get me to blubbering. NOT a pretty picture.

I'm thinking of you, too.

I must admit that before I read this thread this morning, I was sitting here at work feeling sorry for myself because I'm so flippin tired because I dared to put up my Christmas tree last night and thinking how much easier it would be if I didn't have to work.

Now, I am reminded that there are two sides of that coin. Made me think of my most recent life theme song "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins. So, for now, I will be grateful and end my pity party.

Good luck to you on your last day at work and then tomorrow is the first day of the next chapter of your life. It's kind of like a good book and you don't know where it's going to take you so you just have to keep reading...

B2Y - Wishing you luck on your last day. I know it will be a bittersweet day for you but you are a strong woman and will get through it just fine. At the end of the day, we will all be here to cheer you on and support you through this change.

I'm home! I'm jobless and clueless, but God is good.

Sandy, you wouldn't have wanted to be SEEN with me, pushing Speedy Buggy up the road with shopping bags and my lunch bucket hanging off the handles and a big basket of flowers perched on the seat. I looked like the homeless bag lady of the Northeast Kingdom.

Right now the only emotions I can feel are fatigue and relief (is fatigue an emotion?). I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support and empathy during this difficult time of transition.

Okay, enough of that, time to get silly again.

I would never be ashamed to be seen with you. Did I ever tell you about the time I went through JFK airport with a barcode stuck to my forehead to embarrass Jim? lmao

B2Y, I'm glad you made it through the day today.

You didn't walk alone.

No one does, as we all know, but you had more than one person here walking with you too, hon.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life!

Guess what? You won't be alone tomorrow either!
