Default My grandaughters Christmas present

Ever since my first grandaughter was born, I helped her make gifts for everyone at Chritsmas. Then 2 years ago I added her sister. So far they have worked on the same thing. I know that at one point they may want to make different things. Last year her sis was just 1 so her big sis and I made ornaments with both their pictures in it. So this is what we made this year. I took $.16 tiles from Home Depot, printed off $.19 cent pictures at Target and then we got my de'coupage' stuff out. Both girls got to color on a tile and then we put their picutres on a tile. So now each family will have a coaster set of 4.

Cool idea! I can just see those girls when they're grown looking at those coasters saying " I remember making these with Grandma!" Not just gifts, but great memories you're making.

Aww, they are great Doydie and what a lovely idea!! I love crafting and decoupage - I make handmade cards but haven't made as many this year due to health problems and my grandads passing.

I'm sure all your family and friends will love the coasters and what a great idea to make lots of memories that you will be able to look at years from now and remember all the fun you had whilst making them!

Thanks for sharing this with us!

They are all finished now. I am so excited. Now I have to wait on my Grandaughter to know what the next step is.

I was so enthused about what I was doing I have the casheir at Home Depot and Michaels doing it this weekend. That sounded bad. They are going to do this craft with the grandkids.

They're just lovely Doydie. Thank you for sharing those tiles, and thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures of your grand daughters.
