Strange... It doesn't snow often here. Maybe once or twice in the 10 years we've lived here.

Into the upper 60's by Friday. Cool...

Sandy, we are ok. We checked the 100 yr flood maps before we bought!

Yeah, that 5 inches sent Indian Creek over its banks in several places. Now would you buy a house or develop a neighborhood on a road called Blake Bottom?? Many people don't know that in the rural south anything that is known to flood is called a bottom... a swamp when it rains. We have 1/2 million dollar homes going up in said "bottom".

Tomorrow we are expecting more rain and then snow with a low of 28. Kids want a snow day!

Well, so much for the accumulation comment. We got a couple inches at the Johnson Space Center. Nothing at the house though.

Stupid Texas builds these colossal interchanges - then they ice over... I had to take a detour into work this morning.

People are out in the campus grassy areas building snowmen. It's 6 in the morning! A couple inches of snow and these people revert to being kids! I even saw a couple of the astronauts out there. Strange people...

Yes they are! but

Yep the bridges get nasty when icy...once saw a really bad pile up on the 45 overpass near Baybrook Mall.

I can't remember which year, 89 or 90... but during the week of Christmas it rained, snowed, iced over...temps were in the upper 20s for a few days. We had left the area for Christmas, but on the drive back to our house, every driveway was piled up with wet carpet. The water pipes run through the attics of most of the houses and had frozen. Like us, many had been away for a few days for the holidays. The League City garbage trucks were so overwhelmed for two weeks picking up all that carpet.

We were lucky... we didn't turn our heat down before leaving.

Ok, so when I get this house paid down and move to the area I am taking you with me.
