Default Anyone have any experience with local anesthesia?

I just got back from my doctor about the couple of problems I've had over the weekend. Got that stuff all taken care of.

While I was there, I asked him about the discoloration on one of my toenails and he said it's a nail fungus and I can either take a medication for 12 weeks that could possibly cause me problems with my liver enzymes or I can have the nail removed.

I used to take phone calls to send out the free information for that particular nail fungus medication, and memorized all the side effects (actually the entire script for the product) and there's no way in heck I'm going to put that crap into my body.

So, I'm going to have the nail removed. (may or may not leave the nail bed behind)

Has anyone here ever had a problem with local anesthesia because of their MS? Is there anything that I should be worried about when having something medical done that involves a local?

This nail has been an irritant for years. I have a birth defect that affects the nail on my left index finger (no actual fingernail there, just two little pieces of nail growing from two separate nail beds) and my index toe on the left foot. That nail is growing sideways and has always had a weird shape to it. I'm actually glad to be rid of the toenail if I do have it removed. It's ugly and now it's starting to get gross...plus the whole weird growing sideways thing. (my dad's sister left index fingernail grows sideways...so apparently this is a genetic birth defect...my dad has ugly toes, but I always thought that was from his doing Judo for years)
