Default Coupon Codes

I was watching a program a week or so ago, and they were comparing the best way to get deals for Xmas presents, like through professional shoppers. One of the shoppers did all their shopping online, and mentioned something called "coupon codes" that can be used to get discounts. I buy online quite often, but never knew what that field was for on many of the order forms ...

He said that there are sites where you can get these coupon codes, and listed a few well known one's, but I neglected to write the names down.

The other day I was ordering colored contacts for my daughter for Xmas (a "toy" for a 17 yr old ), and I google "coupon code" with both the company I was ordering from, and brand. Sure enough I found a site with a code I could try; it was a "Visa" code, which meant I had to use my Visa card to order, but I intended to pay 'whatever' credit card off as soon as I made the purchase anyway . . .

I plugged the code in the field on the order form, and it WORKED!! I was awarded 15% off the entire order on the spot.

So, for those who are still in the dark ages with internet shopping, like I obviously was, be sure to look for those coupon codes before placing an order at any store!

If you sign up for email alerts from a lot of the companies, they will send you these codes via email. Sometimes they give you the option of using it on line or in the store.
