Default Ok...that was kinda cryptic

I'm looking all over the house for the power cord to my video camera. Cant find it anywhere. (it's a nice camera too...records onto mini dvds)

So, I went upstairs and woke my dad to ask him if he knew where the cord was. (the cord was in his office) He didnt know.

All of a sudden, my mom was trying to mouth to me (and I cant read lips all that well) that I should NOT be looking for this cord, and she had this weird look on her face. (I made her speak up)

So, I'm like...why shouldnt I be looking for the power cord? I cant record us opening the presents my sister sent us if I dont...(well, I can, with the video feature on my digital camera) My mom just told me "dont look for the power cord".

So, here I am, on Christmas eve, and I cant find the power cord for my video camera, and I'm being told NOT to look for it.

What am I supposed to think??

I know my parents both have ideas of what they're both getting (altho, my mom forgets sometimes what she's bought my dad so far) I have absolutely no clue what I'm getting.

I'm hoping for a Wii (I want to get the Wii Fit and use that as exercise/physical therapy for myself...and I want to play Lego Indiana Jones)

but, when my mom tells me that I dont need to look for the power cord for the video camera, that just makes me think... "Why??!?? I need that power cord!"

My mom was awfully cryptic telling me to not look for that cord.

Oh, and I might have mentioned to my dad earlier this summer that if we got a new digital video camera with a built in hard drive, we could send the one we have now to my sister to use with her kids.

I wonder if he took me seriously when I said that?

and when we talked to my sister tonight on the phone (she lives in another state) she was telling my dad how she wants to get a new video camera someday.

Tomorrow could be interesting.

Default I have the COOLEST Dad EVER!!

Ohmygosh!! My dad is so cool!

I got some very cool stuff!

Unfortunately, there was no Wii for me under the tree... But that's ok, I'm not all that sure how much I would actually use a Wii. I love what my dad got me tho.

I got a Kindle! and an iPod (not the iPod that has the touch screen) and I got a little mini laptop.

I did get a little video camera too. Something called a "Flip". It's not as fancy as the camera that I cant find the power cord to (still cant find it! argh!) but the little Flip camera looks nice, holds like an hour of video on it. I might let my dad take that and trade for some books and music to download to the Kindle and the iPod tho. (my dad keeps telling me he'll take the little video camera if I dont want it...makes me think he bought it because he's got a thing for gadgets and he wants to play with it more than I do)

I also got a lighted keyboard for my computer. (this I needed!)

and I'm all excited about the $50 gift card to Michael's Crafts. That's not gonna last long. I'm going to spend that on yarn to crochet an afghan or five. (and then will probably give my dad the afghans)

I think the only thing I will end up returning or exchanging is a pair of earrings that I got (the post on one of them is bent) and the little mini laptop that I got is pink...I detest pink, so I'm going to exchange that for a different color (either white or blue) Oh, and I got a video game for my iMac that's a Sim game of some sort. I might trade that for the last set of the Indiana Jones TV series dvd box set. (I got the first two last Xmas...just need the last box set)

and my mom bought me a Sock Monkey! (yay!!!!) I'm going keep the Sock Monkey on my bed...and will probably try to crochet another one so it'll have a friend.

I'm extremely happy with what my Santa brought. I couldnt give my dad any idea what I wanted (other than a Wii). I just couldnt ever think of anything.

The reason he didnt get the Wii...that would be because he saw a sign on the Wii display that said that the flashing lights can cause seizures (I've never had a seizure before) but he was worried that it might trigger a migraine or vertigo attack...which is totally understandable, because if I go to a movie that has lots of flashing lights, or even a tv show on his big screen tv that has lots of flashing lights, it can make me dizzy.

I have to try out a Wii at a friend's house somewhere and see if that does anything to set off the vertigo and then I might ask for one next year. So, I'm not broken up at all about not getting a Wii. (I'm totally ecstatic about the iPod and the Kindle and the little laptop tho!)

The iPod plays video (and I bought my dad some movies that come with digital copies, so I'm going to try out the digital copy of The Dark Knight on the iPod later this weekend)

My mom loved the pendant and chain that my dad and I got for her. The pendant is sterling silver with black and white cubic zirconia...(very pretty!) I got that for my mom, and my dad bought the chain to go with it. (she needs long chains that go over her head because she cant work the clasps on the shorter chains)

Her necklace looks so cool! I'm almost jealous that I didnt get one for myself.

My mom and I bought my dad a ton of small stuff. He was all excited about the cooking utensils (he wanted those for the special pans he has that he cant use metal utensils with) and he's upstairs putting his Harry Potter audiobooks onto his computer right now. He's finally got the complete set of audiobooks.

I got a big bolster pillow (pillow shaped like a big tube or column shape) from my aunt. She had it made for me. I'm excited about that...I'll be able to lean back on that when I'm crocheting or knitting, and it's made of a really nice chenille fabric. One of her friends made it for me. It's a really pretty pillow. Big enough for my queen bed. Very happy about that. I leaned against it earlier upstairs, and it felt so much better against my low back.

I need to go help my mom with her digital picture frame. We're adding pictures into it for her, and then we need to decide where to put it so she can sit and watch all the pictures. Strangely enough, she was more excited with the cheesy picture frame I bought for her christmas stocking that I put a photograph of my (now deceased) dog TinyMonsters into. She got all excited when she saw his picture. It was pretty much the only present she seemed to get super excited about. (she misses Tiny) Well, that picture and the solitaire game we bought her.

I'm just waiting for my Kindle and the iPod to charge so that I can play with them.
