Default Merry Christmas to all!

It's late now and hopefully everyone is settling down and will have wonderful memories to fill your dreams tonight!

Our family Chirstmas is Jan 3rd. We have always set ours the week after Christmas so all the kids can go to their spouses families homes. That way when we get together all the hustle and bustle is over and we can concentrate on the real meaning of Christmas. We have a couple of families that live here in Evansville that don't go out of town so we do al teast get together and enjoy the day.

I have one brother that was career Navy and we would see them about every 5 years. I will always remeber the year that our intelligent Navy built a sub in the state of Washington and had it stationed in North Carolina! So half the crew took it throught the Panama canal and half the crew went on land to North Carolina. Luckily my brother was the land crew. So they were able to come into Evansville in February. So that was when we had Christmas. I know many people thought we were a little crazy to still have our decorations up that late but my two young daughters thought they were the most special kids here in town. They had already had my husbands side of the family Christmas celebrations but here we were at the end of February having Chritsmas.

This brother is still the one that lives the farhtwest away and the family has a lot of medical and therfore financial problems and don't get up here that often. So he called today and said that they have an envelope that they put all there spare money in and when it got to $400 they knew they could come. So that was my Moms big gift today. So that means 24 people here next week. I have one nephew that has just got married so we will meet a new member and next year they will have a new baby. I am used to being the Grandma with the little kids. So I will have to give up that right

OK, enough Christmas ramblings! Goodnight and Merry Christmas.
