Wow Cin..........thats rough...Im sure you are doing all the right stuff.
4 years ago my older boy's grandparents/fathers family home burnt to
the ground. everyone got out okay but all of my boys belongings that
they had there were gone. it was really rough.

Im sure you know all the right things to do and say.

What a nice neighbor you are. I know you've mentioned your neighbor kids and how you throw your loose change in the back seat before you have them clean your car.

Its neighbors like you who help the most by giving them a safe harbor to weather the storm. Just knowing you are there for support has to be very comforting. So glad they will be able to move back in. Crack the whip on those contractors, Cin!

I'm glad all are safe...is there anything we can do to help? I have some clothes that were going to Goodwill...maybe they can use them. I have never worn them, I lost weight really fast and needed to downsize...I now gained it back and upsized.lol

some things can't be replaced and good friends like you are one of them.

Aww Cindy, I'm so sorry for your neighbors! . When my dh was 8 his family home was lost to fire. 20 years later his alcoholic uncle admitted to starting it in a botched suicide attempt. My dh, his sister, and grandparents were in the house, thank God they escaped unharmed. Unbelievable, huh? My prayers are with your neighbors and you for being so kind. I have clothing for boys that I would be glad to mail to them. Just let me know if they would like them.

Most things can be replaced, but not mementos like pictures. When our house burned down, friends and relatives from all over sent us copies of photos they had of our family. That was one of the things we most appreciated. We also got clothes and household items from all over the U.S. It was really humbling and we felt so blessed.

I know your neighbors appreciate you just being there for them right now. It may be a few days before they really know what they need.

that's awful cindy.
i'm glad the house wasn't a total loss.
they're lucky to have insurance and are able to rebuild.

i'm sending my thoughts and prayers their way too.

you just do what you do. i'm sure your support is invaluable.
