No kidding: We ARE everywhere (unfortunately).

My lawyer's Mom has MS. Yesterday DH and I had an hour consultation with a nutritionist -- her Mom has MS.

There are many (a seemingly disproportionate number) in my lil ole rural town with it (they don't come to play on NT though).

I even met a lady in Belize last Wednesday that has it, lol! :D

I became more open about my MS after I stopped working and became more comfortable talking about it (since I didn't need to hide it anymore). People who know I have MS will now approach me and say my friend or family member was just dx'd and start talking about it to me. I tell them if they think their friend or family member may want someone to talk to, because I remember how I felt and how scared I was when I was dx'd, give them my name and number. I have had people call me to talk and I hope that I was able to help them whether it was just to listen and understand or give them information about where to go for answers.

We ARE everywhere!

That's good of you, Karousel, to offer your phone number.

I make sure I leave them with a note about NeuroTalk.org.
