No kidding: We ARE everywhere (unfortunately).
My lawyer's Mom has MS. Yesterday DH and I had an hour consultation with a nutritionist -- her Mom has MS. There are many (a seemingly disproportionate number) in my lil ole rural town with it (they don't come to play on NT though). I even met a lady in Belize last Wednesday that has it, lol! :D |
Maybe we're pod people?

I became more open about my MS after I stopped working and became more comfortable talking about it (since I didn't need to hide it anymore). People who know I have MS will now approach me and say my friend or family member was just dx'd and start talking about it to me. I tell them if they think their friend or family member may want someone to talk to, because I remember how I felt and how scared I was when I was dx'd, give them my name and number. I have had people call me to talk and I hope that I was able to help them whether it was just to listen and understand or give them information about where to go for answers.

I make sure I leave them with a note about NeuroTalk.org. |
